Multidiscipline Design For Civil Infrastructure Teams – New

Webinar Series | Multidiscipline Design for Civil Infrastructure Teams

In the face of shorter deadlines, tighter budgets, and a limited and increasingly dispersed workforce, embracing digital multidiscipline workflows is key to managing increasing workloads and delivering safer, more resilient infrastructure designs.

Experience design collaboration at its best with Bentley’s Civil WorkSuite. Regardless of project scale or complexity, access the capabilities you need with infrastructure-specific software for roads, bridges, sites, and tunnels. Use intelligent model-centric design to simultaneously work across disciplines, always confident that data is up to date, to maximize project efficiency and accuracy.

In this webinar series, our subject matter experts will introduce you to Bentley’s Civil WorkSuite and help you reduce the time taken from design to deliverables.

Capturing the existing conditions for your civil engineering project

Part 1

Learn how to efficiently design in the context your projects by integrating reality modeling applications from the beginning of the project’s lifecycle.

Share and consume large proprietary data from a unique source of truth, communicated easily and seamlessly across all stakeholders to ensure full collaboration, and achieve greater outcomes at all stages of your asset lifecycle.

This session will showcase the reality modeling suite capabilities included in Civil WorkSuite.

Conceptual roadway design

Part 2

Conceptual and preliminary design, along with feasibility studies, are the initial stages of any infrastructure project.

Engineers assess different design proposals to be progressed into the detailed design stage. Land acquisition, the number of structures, geometry complexity, and impact integration within the existing environment are also key aspects to consider.

This session will showcase OpenRoads ConceptStation, the application that enables engineers to quicky develop accurate conceptual roadway designs.

End-to-end detailed road design in a collaborative environment

Part 3

Learn how to efficiently design in the context your projects by integrating reality modeling applications from the beginning of the project’s lifecycle.

Share and consume large proprietary data from a unique source of truth, communicated easily and seamlessly across all stakeholders to ensure full collaboration, and achieve greater outcomes at all stages of your asset lifecycle.

Bridge design in the context of a road project

Part 5

Coordination between bridge and roadway engineers is essential for reducing the risk of error in the design, as well as the associated costs.

Join this session to learn how you can model and analyse your bridge with OpenBridge Designer, as well as how the bridge model is perfectly integrated and coordinated with the roadway model.

OpenBridge Designer, Bentley’s application for bridge modeling, design, and analysis, allows for seamless design collaboration between disciplines, enabling engineers to collaborate more efficiently and manage changes to the roadway or bridge design.

Improving a time-consuming practice: rebar detailing

Part 6

ProStructures, included in Civil WorkSuite, provides a complete set of 3D rebar modeling, which improves the bridge workflow by allowing engineers to model analytically designed rebar directly in 3D bridge project files.

Creating rebar models earlier in the design process not only saves time, but also reduces errors and omissions due to incorrect data entry. Using Bentley’s federated file system, rebar models can be separated from the bridge model, allowing rebar detailers to continue working on bar bending schedules and plans production, while the engineer remains in control of the bridge model.

Hydraulics and hydrology applications for all roads

Part 7

Traditionally, drainage design for road projects has been carried out by multiple teams using different software than the one used for the design of the road or railway alignment.  This approach risks miscommunication between disciplines, working with an outdated layout file, and having to redo the calculations and design of catchments, flows, ditches, manholes, drains, and cross-drainage culverts.

There is a better way! Join this next session and learn how OpenRoads integrates with OpenFlows CivilStorm, resulting in improved collaboration, increased productivity, improved accuracy, lower costs, and less risk.

Purpose-built digital solutions for tunnel design

Part 8

This session will showcase OpenTunnel Designer, the application that connects an interdiscipline workflow within the context of your infrastructure project. With OpenTunnel Designer, you can model the full excavation shape, excavation tracks, tunnel lining, and reinforcement for conventional and mechanized tunnels.

OpenTunnel Designer and PLAXIS are interoperable, enabling an all-in-one workflow for modeling, design, and analysis. With your already existing model, generate your analytical model in PLAXIS with a click of a button.
